Carl & Pat Templin
Carl and Pat Templin established PRISM in 1980 after serving for 11 years as missionaries in Ethiopia. Upon returning to the U.S. Carl pursued his doctoral studies at the University of Pittsburgh where he discovered increasing numbers of international students who were coming to study in the U.S.
With the assistance of local evangelical congregations here in Pittsburgh Carl began Pittsburgh Region International Student Ministries. For many years Carl & Pat welcomed and cared for international students and scholars and built a ministry that continues to impact the lives of international students with the good news of Jesus Christ.
In 2002, Carl retired as the Director of PRISM, but the couple has not retired from opening their hearts and home to international students. Carl & Pat have devoted their lives to sharing the Gospel and continue to have regular contact with Ethiopian Christians and former PRISM participants.
